The Office of the Special Assistant for Transportation Engineering
(SATE) staff advise the SATE and Commander, SDDC, on transportation
engineering policy matters; manage/execute the DOD
Highways, Railroads, Ports
for National Defense Programs develop defense transportation
engineering policy in concert with USTRANSCOM and OSD.

be accessed here. Joint Regulations AR 55-80, OPNNAVINST 11210.2, AFMAN 32-1017, MCO 11210.2D and DLAR 4500.19, DoD Tranportation Engineering Program is the authority for these programs. DoD Directive 4510.11, Subject: DoD Transportation Engineering, establishes policy and assigns responsibilities for DoD transportation Engineering.
