Traffic Engineering Program
SDDC executes DOD’s overall traffic engineering program
on behalf of the military Services. Our mission is to improve
highway safety and reduce traffic congestion on DOD installation
roads and on routes providing access to the installation.
Traffic Engineering services include roadway planning, geometric
design, safety audits, analysis of traffic operations, and
engineering guidance and contract assistance. Our objectives
are to save lives, decrease injuries, minimize lost time,
and maintain readiness.
