Force Modernization
The engineers, transportation specialists, and transportation assistants
of the Force Modernization Team focus on the design and concepts
for employment of current and future transportation assets that
will deploy our military equipment and forces. To maximize the military
utility of these assets, we are involved from concept development,
to fabrication, to recapitalization.
Our involvement ranges from recommending deck strengths and layouts
for the large, medium speed roll on roll off ships (LMSRs) to evaluating
deployment scenarios of the Interim Brigade Combat Teams to providing
deployability expertise to the developers of the Future Combat System.
Our efforts help optimize these and other systems to facilitate
rapid deployment.
